rieslandCampina WAMCO Nigeria PLC has been a necessary part of most Nigerian homes since 1954 through its flagship brand, Peak Milk. The company was incorporated in April 1973 as West Africa Milk Company Nigeria (WAMCO) and commenced operations in 1975.
FrieslandCampina WAMCO Nigeria is a multinational manufacturing company: it is an affiliate of Royal FrieslandCampina of The Netherlands, one of the largest dairy cooperatives in the world. Its headquarters is in the Ikeja industrial area of Lagos State and operates an extensive distribution network across Nigeria’s 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
The company has continued to play a leading role in the production, processing, packaging, marketing and distribution of various milk products in Nigeria. With an annual turnover of N121 billion in 2015 and a market share driven by her key brands, Peak, Three Crowns and Friso. It pioneered the manufacture of evaporated milk and the introduction of fortified milk based products in Nigeria.
